SEKO annonce strike on Veolia in Sweden.

SEKO, Swedish Union for Service and Communications Employees, have announced strike on Veolia Öresundståget and Veolia Snälltåget.

(The translation translates "Snälltåget" as "Nice train" but Snälltåg is a swedish word (taken from German "schnellzug") meaning "Express train" (Snäll however means "nice" in swedish, but not in this word))

Veolia Öresundstågen have service between Malmö-Göteborg, Malmö-Kalmar and Malmö-Karlskrona.
The reason for the strike is that Veolia last year annunced that half of the staff would be transferred from a full time to a 50-75% part time position or only part time with hourly salary instead.

Since this announcement Almega, the employer - and trade association, have negotiated with SEKO, the union, withouth finding a solution. Last week the central agreement for rail employees was terminated and now the union have announced a strike.
The main reason is because the union will not accept that half of the drivers and conductors are being fired and have to apply for a new, part time job, at Veolia and probably have to apply for another job as well to pay the bills.

26 and 27th may the parts will negotiate again but if they don't find a solution the strike will begin at the 2nd of june.
