What do you make of that then?
I am aware that there are some strange people around, but that's just taking the wotsit. :D

Bet the tickets cost him a "pony"!! Silly man!!!

bramleyman 18th May 2011 23:23

Had it been April 1st, then I would have felt it a joke, but what was this bloke even contemplating, for crying out loud?

When I was on the job, I had over 40 bicycles on one DMU, fortunately only going 2 stops.

This was at Wrexham.... He wanted to go to Holyhead...... Where next? The ferry to Ireland perhaps.........?

Afterthought. He should have bought a Dog ticket and when challenged sworn the thing had grown!:D:eek:

Regards, 62440.;)

A great Dane or an Irish Wolfhound would have been nearly as large.:p
and you could get a free dollop of manure for your rhubarb.;):)

The pony looks better behaved than many of ATW's customers on a Saturday night.

Shimbleshanks 19th May 2011 11:49

Where was he travelling to. Horsham?

I once heard a story of some people that kept a horse in an upstairs council flat. Apparently it was only discovered when the neighbours underneath complained about the noise.

avonside1563 19th May 2011 12:10

Good job he didn't want to go to the Mule of Kintyre!

I'll get my coat!

Shimbleshanks 19th May 2011 13:37

Perhaps we should tell Neigh-bourhood Watch about this...

62440 19th May 2011 17:54

He's been seen trying to take it into a pub too! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-attempt.html

(Memo to self: Don't go to Wrexham!)

Regards, 62440.:D

Silver Fox Phil 19th May 2011 20:17

All this talk about the pony is making me quite hoarse!!!

62440 19th May 2011 21:26

It's turning into quite a long tail!

Regards, 62440.

DSY011 19th May 2011 21:36

Well that's it, I'm hoofing out of here.

boilersuit 19th May 2011 22:01

Well I think ATW were just being blinkered.

46232 20th May 2011 18:25

The Daily Mash have picked up on the story now

davat 20th May 2011 19:42

Well I would have allowed it to travel on my train as long as it sat on the seat and kept its' feet on the floor, as I used to say to dog owners with dogs on the seat.

On thinking about this, 50 years ago the railway would have had no coice but to carry the pony under its common carrier status. Funny how things change.

Ah, silly me. I think I've made a bit of an ass of myself then. :D

This makes me think, because I recall that I read something about miniature ponies being used as guids for the visually or hearing impaired.
I wonder what the policy would be about taking those on trains, they aren't any bigger than a medium sized dog.
