Barrykap here
Hello, just a line to say hello.
I am interested in Steam Railways of UK, but not had much chance to visit as many as I would have liked. I frequent the CVR, the EVR, Peak Rail, Rudyard Lake Steam Railway and Foxfield. I hope to visit a few more now I am retired. I enjoy photographing steam. Cheers. |
Hello Barry and welcome to the forum. Try the Great Central too its got plenty going on. We are quite lucky here in the midlands as we have so many railways to visit and most within an hours drive!

Hello Barry and welcome to the Railway Forum. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos in the gallery

Hello Barry and welcome to the forum, enjoy and all the best.

Hi all. Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have lots of photos taken over the last five or six years but with them not being 'recent' I am not sure they would be welcome in the gallery so will upload new ones as I snap them. All my others can be seen in my zenfolio site but I understand advertising one's photo-sites are not allowed on this forum, so I can't give the URL out. Ah well, hope to be posting on the forum in the future. Best wishes |

I posted some which were well received a while ago. Taken when I was 14 / 15 and I'm 60 now.;) |
OK.
Stand by! :-) |
Hi and welcome, just an observation, the moderators ask that you upload no more than 9 photos in a day. Just so you don`t get into hot water!
look forward to your pics. oh and there`s nothing wrong with adding your URL to your signature, I think that is allowed. Regards Mike. |
Thanks Mike.
Had no idea about the upload rule. When I upload it just says I have uploaded x MB of UNLIMITED webspace or something, so assumed I can upload unlimited amount. Not that I would do this. I had just uploaded a sample selection of old images to start it off. From now on there will just be the odd one or two single images every week or so. Hope the Mods agree with this. :-) Cheers. |
Welcome to the Forum Barry and thanks for you photos of the opening at Wirksworth..
Best wishes. John H-T. |
Thanks John.
One of my favourite pres. railway sites is the EVR. A little bit too far to attend every weekend but I do my best get to there when I can. I have a selection of photos taken there on my other forum. If you want the link, please PM me as I don't think I am allowed to stick it in here. :-) Cheers |
Thanks Barry.
Please continue to upload your photos to this site. Best wishes, John H-T. |
