Hitachi Javelin on ECML?

Don't know if it was a trick of the sunlight but I drove past the ECML north of Newark recently (think it was 6th January about 1pm) and I'm sure I saw one of the new Javelin HST's going northbound.
Am I correct or just seeing things?

Could it perhaps have been a "First Hull Trains" Unit ?? Sat at a Red signal a few hours ago at Joan Croft and one went past and my first thought was is that one of them "Javelin" things but then noticed the "First" Branding.

Hi Chris,
Yes that is possible I suppose. I didn't make that connection because I keep thinking that Hull trains are green. (they did used to be green didn't they?)

Yes Mick I think they were green or at least had quite a lot of green. The blue colour looks very impressive from what I saw.

And here's the blue thing.

Pre65 - As far as I am aware it is still going to go ahead. I`ll ask someone I know in the DfT
Nice pics 62440 ! Thanks

Yes that was the green colour scheme I remember. I'm obviously a few years out of date with current liveries.
Looking at the blue livery, I'm not sue that there was that much yellow in evidence but that picture is a 170 turbostar isn't it. Maybe the 222 meridians have a smaller area of yellow.
I suppose this would answer my original question though. Looks like it would have been a Hull Trains unit.
Thanks.

All four of the Hull Trains class 222's have been transferred to East Midlands Trains and replaced by the Class 180 "ADELANTE or CORADIA 1000" units no's 180 109/110/111/113. 180 113 is the unit in the photo. Hull Trains is now First Hull Trains since being taken over by Firstgroup, hence the blue livery, I don't know if those four 180 units will get re-painted or new vinyls in the Green colour scheme or not.

The one thing that stands out since "privatisation" is the amount of ongoing work for paint and vinyl manufacturers. Some DMU's might have seen as many as five colour changes in the last 10 years.
