Newby from Warington
Hello all,
My name is John Edge from a little village near Warrington, actually just in Lancashire. I've been interested in railways and modelling them for about 35 years (i'm 45 now!), have travelled quite a bit in Europe, N. Africa and a bit in the USA. I always used to be into just main lines and heavy trains but am now quite into quiet branches and (even) metre gauge stuff! Not the usual Swiss outline however, after quite a few visits and train rides in the Pelopenese in Greece - i am well into their metre gauge system! I model mainly 00 and H0 but have been getting a collection of British and German 0 gauge over the past few years. Cheers for now, John E. |

Hello John, welcome to a brilliant site. I too used to live in a village near Warrington (Golborne) but am now enjoying the sunshine in Devon but we have to put up with FGW HST's, XC Voyagers, 142's and 150's. One freight a day if we are lucky! This is not a spotters paradise.

Welcome to the Forum John. Look forward to your posts on Model and full size railways.
Best wishes, John H-T. |

Hey, what a great welcome, thanks again chaps!
Tony, I live next door to your old stamping ground - in Lowton (St. Lukes) and am eventually thinking of doing a model of Lowton St. Mary's station and surroundings! Small world, eh? |
