Hello all, glad to be part of what looks like a great forum. Main interest is steam, just missed out on BR days but love the photography side of it and going to as many galas as possible.

Hello

Welcome to the forum City Of Nottingham. Whats with the name.

City of Nottingham 10th June 2010 22:48

Thanks for all the messages. The name comes from my prized Hornby 00 Princess Coronation Class engine in weathered crimson lake livery - gorgeous - and I was born in Nottingham too :)

A warm welcome to the forum City of Nottingham, My Wife's uncle was present at the naming ceremony of 6251 when he was a schoolboy. Unfortunately he remembers it best for the skive off School! (Legal, a teacher took him and two or three others).

Regards, 62440.
