Oliver On The Lickey Incline

I see that Oliver Cromwell will be on the Likey Incline Satuday May 29th,any idea where I could find out the timings

Has Oliver been passed as fit to run yet ?

JEB-245584/2 21st May 2010 10:42

I have heard that it could be sometime in late June is the earliest Ollie could possibly be up and running again, so next week is a no go.
No news on a replacement yet, apart from 44871 is covering for Ollie this weekend.

Cheers John

For all steamhauled tour timings keep an eye on http://www.uksteam.info They usually appear on there a few days in advance of the trips.

I heard that John but I am assuming that the excursion will still go ahead with a different engine

That has made my day I will love seeing Lizzie on the main line even more than Ollie but then again I was always more of a Cavalier than a Roundhead

John_142 24th May 2010 14:51

Does anyone know where I can find timings for this train? A friend of mine would like to see it at some point in Worcestershire or Gloucestershire.

John142. Are you aware that 35028 CLAN LINE is out of service as a result of a dropped fusible plug last Friday? That's another one down, the Merchant Adventurer tour is cancelled as a result. I'm getting fed up with being the bearer of bad tidings on here, I'm thinking of changing my name to Albert Ross!
Anyway here's a link to the 35028 website http://www.clan-line.org.uk/html/press_release.html
I can only hope that no serious damage has resulted and 35028 will quickly be back where she belongs.

Regards, 62440.

Now, I have read this thread with interest, and it seems that the reason for failure of both those engines is not small things which can be put right quickly......but pretty serious problems....Ollie with we beleive firebox problems and the other one has dropped a plug.
So is that a coincidence or just a "fluke", I hope it is not the start of a "run" of serious failures.

Did I read elsewhere that Lord Nelson had problems?

Anyway as I'm sure most of you know 6201 Princess Elizabeth is now down as heading this tour, but the real star will of course be pannier 9600 :)

Wednesday night and still no times on UKsteam.info, nail biting stuff.
