A very lucky escape! Tony |
Someone posted that a few days ago. It seems to have now made the papers, it was even on Sky News!
Not good for "Trainspotters" rep.... Think this one will go down as one of those viral things. |
wel well
this is msot certainly not good publicity for steam! its now all over youtube, and is fast becoming a viral video. on the news, papers. oh dear! |
That Idiot, that Crettin, should be prosecuted and then "banged up", he has done railway enthuiasts no good at all, the BTP should throw the book at him !!!
What the hell went through that poor drivers mind on the unit ? The railway world, both from the Enthuiasts side and generally, can do without morons like that on the system. 48111 |
I saw it on the BBC News website last night. The man's a kn0b and the public stereotype of railway enthusiasts has just been enhanced by his actions. However, I do regret to admit that I find it funny, probably because noone was hurt but clearly that is not the point, he could have been flattened and then what? Horrendous.

The guy at the start with the tripod is just as bad leaning out ove the plt edge the way he was.

We will almost certainly always have to contend with adverse comments, and that action will no doubt give the detractors a field day. It may be that he was new, or unaware, it doesn't matter; we will all be cast as morons because he didn't think!

As you know I do a fair bit of Photography on Leyland station, only the other week we had a one under involving a 39 year old man and a voyager. We have had them in the past as well. They are now talking of putting cctv and other related security items on the station. Surely this idiot in the video will not help the train buffs image.
Thank god they are a minority amongst many Alan |
Couldn't agree more Alan. One mans action could ruin many peoples enjoyment.
If fences etc., are put in place then some of your smashing shots could be a thing of the past. mickey |
I regret to say that I've heard that the fence and passenger must not go beyond this point at Leyland are to be replaced with new solid fences to stop all people from going beyond the useable platform in the very near future, Sorry to be the bearer of this bad news but I believe it is correct.
