First entry.

My name is David Christie, from Alloa, Scotland. Originally from Romford,Essex I moved up from there in 1973. I have always been interested in railways and transport in general but the usual lapse ocurred when starting work in 1959 - 1962 when I suddenly realised there was no steam left on my local GE line!
So -I started railway photography amassing many thousands of slides carefully preserved and now transferred to computer. The same thing happened with my local buses when the RM's arrived in Romford, and bus /trolley photography from 1967 was added, sort of taking over from the demise of steam. Since moving up to Scotland, I have taken advantage of my proximity to the West Highland steam revival. I also created the model railway that I always promised myself.
My current project is creating books in "Blurb.com" where I am transferring my images from nearly 50 years ago into published form. These books can be obtained from the Blurb website - there are previews so you can see some of the content. I have only completed the first two railway books but there are many more to come. Trolleybuses have also been published.
David Christie.
