m/bike in ch/unnel

I doubt if Eurostar will, but eurotunnel ie the vehicle service, rather than E* which is just people!

see:

Not too pricey?

Compare this:
When I took a BSA Bantam from Newcastle Central to North Wales in early 1980s, I had to pay prebooked in advance Half fare for the bike, full fare for me, plus a reservation fee. We went in the Guards Van, and I had to supply and fit my own tie downs!

While I doubt you can, why not use one of the car ferries?

garrat 15th January 2010 21:17

Just wanted to see if it was possible did e.mail no reply

From the Eurostar "Conditions of Carriage"

If you can fold or dismantle your bike and place it in a bike bag which is no bigger than a large suitcase with the saddle, handlebars and wheels removed, you can carry it on board as part of your permitted quantity of luggage. ;)

I've got a Tardis FLAT - actually, I call it 'The Turdis', since everyone asks me how I manage to get such an unbelievable amount of sh*t in it! :D

Its a shame that vehicles with brake ends are not built anymore. Just piddly little corners near the exits.

I do believe this is from what was known as British Railways.

Le Shuttle, yes. Eurostar no. Nowadays under COSHH regs you can't carry any hazardous materials on a passenger train. Motorcycles are a definite NO.

defitzi 14th February 2010 23:50

NO! m bikes of all descriptions are banned in most european countrfies- the nasty little grey suited gauleiters did that long ago( some east Europe may still allow them-depends.
E biks are ok- couldn'y do much about them coiuld they>
but many rails limit num, bers per train. Foldables cant be stopped tho'
And if you can disguise the motor then it may be possible to get6 a moped aboard,i

klordger1900 15th February 2010 23:10

If its got petrol in it then you aint taking it on a passenger train!
