Why the soft spot for No 70? cos shes a beast! very powerful for her size and she has nice lines, very attractive to the eye.

DSY011 30th April 2009 20:11

I have traveled behind No 70 many times and have posted photos and video of her on the site, which is why I asked the question. She is a hard working loco and is the backbone of The Avon Valley Railway along with Polish Chrazanow built Ferrum 0-6-0T.

Without meaning to be cheeky if i had my way id buy MSC70, shes a cracking engine. Even without her read coupling rods (running as an 0-4-2) she was stronger than most gave her credit for at the ELR 20th!
Always fancied running her at the eden valley railway.

Did i also mention a soft spot for NER C1'S?
