Hello!

Hello!

I'm a railway fan from Sweden.
Or I usually call myself a commuter transport fan, since I like all kinds of transportation.

I work as a bus driver since december 2007, but april 2002- april 2008 I worked as a conductor on the (light) railway Saltsjöbanan.

I also work as a freelance photographer (mostly road accidents, fires and crimes).

I have been travelling by train in Norway, Finland, England, Germany, Austria, Estonia and Denmark but unfortunately those pictures might be gone forever.

To present myself in pictures:

Those pictures have been published in the swedish railway magazine Tåg :)

Thats me!

Hi Bobjork, welcome to the forum. Must say I liked your photos. I hope you will post many more to the Forum Gallery. I know very little about Sweden's railways although I was once told that Sweden has a lot of steam locos stored away in some mountain caves that are kept ready to run should the country require them. Not sure how true this is.

Hi and welcome aboard the forum, Bobjork.

JamesPB 25th November 2008 15:56

Hej Bo, I can welcome you as well then :)

Förresten jag bor i Karlstad.Inte mycket till tågstad tyvärr.

But I was in Göteborg Sunday and Monday and saw a couple of class X 11 A pendeltåg at the central station yesterday, which are a class you never see in Karlstad.
And I'm not sure you see them in Stockholm that often either, do you?

No, in Stockholm there's only X1, X10 and X60.

Karlstad. Been there once. And I passed it twice with a Linx X2.

JamesPB 26th November 2008 07:25

Yes, I suspected the X11A was solely a west coast unit.

When you say "passed" Karlstad, I assume you mean the train stopped there before moving on again and you stayed on board? I ask that because Karlstad is one of those stations that has no through passenger traffic whatsoever.
ALL passenger trains calling at Karlstad are stoppers, no exceptions.

Bobjork 26th November 2008 10:41

That's exactly what I mean. It stopped. At least I think it did.

Yes, X11 is Skåne and Göteborg. Further up it's X12 and X14. X14 are used by Västtrafik too. X10 is only to be found here in Stockholm.
