Hi from Dorset

Hi

I live in Yetminster, Dorset, with my husband Nick and my daughter Emma.

Both Nick and I are steam enthusiasts and I am on the support crew of 6024 King Edward 1.

We both do quite a bit of video and I am attempting to get to grips with my Canon 400D!

Cheers

Hi and Welcome

Welcome to this crazy but delightful forum for us wonderful people who love the trains of this world. I also do video and I use an Hitachi DZ-MV730E. Last sunday I stood on the footplate of a Swiss loco whilst going over The Gotthard Pass and took two discs (38 minutes in total of DVD).
Are we crazy or not? I would say a little but oh what a delight

I'll keep taking the pills and enjoy life whatever others think

Hi Shirley, welcome to the Forum. Would love to see some of your KG1 videos. I managed to get a few mins of her arriving at Temple Meads and a short bit as she ran out from the Bath Road bridge heading towards Bedminster. I will post them soon. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do.

Welcome Shirley.
6024 is a fantastic locomotive and always looks great out on the mainline.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but 6024 had a hot box last Sunday at Taunton and will be unavailable for the Gala. 42968 has replaced her according to National Preservation. She will remain at WSR for repair to the front axle box before resuming her duties later from Bristol Barton Hill.

Cheers

Shirley
