Hya folks.

Just a few words to say hi to you all here. I've worked in the railway industry for 30 years, and before that I was a volunteer at a preserved line so I know a little bit about the subject, but I'm still a long way off being an expert. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum, Dynamo. What sort of work did you do on a preserved line?

Dynamo 28th January 2008 20:00

I was a cleaner and also a fireman and Diesel driver on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, as well as doing work helping to restore loco's etc.

Nah. "Ex" = Has been, and a "Spert" is a drip under pressure. http://smogchat.com/mfc/components/c...icons/grin.png

Just a small word here to say I'm enjoying the site so far. I have a small question though. I have quite a few little stories, some of which I've told already, that people might want to read, but I've posted the ones so far all in different places. Whats the best section to post these stories, if indeed people do want to hear them?

Just carry on posting the way you are now Dynamo :) I for one have certainly enjoyed reading the stories you have posted in the last couple of days.

I agree with John, your stories are great, just what I need to brighten up a dull day at work.

Shed Cat 31st January 2008 21:17

I am enjoying them too.
I think most of us here are pretty relaxed about exactly where stuff is posted. In fact, this is probably the most laid back forum of any that I visit.

Welcome to the Forum Dynamo, already enjoying your posts!

Best wishes,

John H-T.
