Hello from Wales

Hello everybody,
Returning to railway modelling after a very long break.
Plenty of new stuff to learn...and probably even more to remember!

Hi Bangor Lad, welcome to the forum. Don't worry about the mistakes, you should see some of the earlier ones made on the forum. What are you modeling in, what gauge, which form of control and between which years?

Hello Hwyl and welcome to the Forum. I know that area of Wales very well, I used to do a lot of sea fishing there. All the best and enjoy.

Chris.

Welcome to the Forum Hwyl

I spent four very happy years in Capel Curig, mainly on the mountains and getting paid for it!

A mate of mine ended up in charge of the Signal Box at Betws-y-Coed.

Best wishes,

John H-T.

Hello to everyone who posted a reply. Been away from the PC for a couple of days.

I'm starting back in N gauge modelling. I had a largish layout (based on a reduced Bangor track plan) in my late teens but other things got in the way (beer, girls, beer, uni, music, beer....you get my drift).

As I'm starting completely from scratch I've chosen to model early BR. Being in Bangor I should be LMR but nothing decided so far. I'd like to model Bangor again but the space just aint there. So far all I've done is made up a couple of small dioramas just to try out modelling techniques again.
