Holmbridge Junction
Hi, new on here so here goes for the first proper post.
This is my retirement efforts, my first go at building a model railway since I had a Princess Elizabeth set from Hornby in the late 1950s approx. As its my first go it is all ready to go stuff or plastic and card kits but with NCE DCC control. Some sound in a few engines Set in West Yorkshire with a little interloping by a couple of engines/units http://www.pbase.com/amjones/model_rail |
Wow, that looks really good.
Obviously ace with a camera as well.:) |
Great layout. You've created some really lovely scenes.
I thoroughly enjoyed looking through your photos. Why not pick out some of your favourite shots and post them in the forum gallery? |
Really nice work and boy have you nailed the detail! I love it and hope when I retire fully in a couple of years I will be able to do something like this.
Great to see and I enjoyed viewing your photos. Thanks for sharing that with us All the best Phil |
What can one say but great ,you can be very pleased with what you have done.

....for all your positive comments.....I'll keep on tweaking it.

Some fantastic detail there. I particularly like the way you have done the ballasting with bits of weed and other vegetation. The GCR pattern station buildings look great too as do the little details with the platforms etc. You have given me some ideas to improve my layout!
|
The problem is the photos show all the things wrong as well in the same detail
|
Really good. I love the NCB coal lorry! great work.
|
Lots of lovely details. Like it.

Good post, Are you going to do clayton West Branch.
That was my first guards duty on my own in 1982. .And seeing the branch shut later on. Look over the wall thats where I live. I have many pics of the Clayton West Branch Guard 437/At Huddersfield and Healey Mills |
Not sure I have the skills to do an actual location

If I ever do get to building one I would try to go for Lincoln Central and St Marks. I have seen a layout by a chap who has done one in 00 gauge, and its extremely good. I would try it in N gauge as I guess I would need a lot of space. All the best Phil |
