Hello from Oz

Hello I am an Englishman from the pretty little seaside resort of Rosebud in the State of Victoria I am originally from Worcestershire.

I am a total fanatic on UK Railways mostly steam, I have no preference for any particular type of locomotives so long as they are steam and British that is good enough for me, at the moment I am learning as much as I can about the many Preserved Railways scattered throughout Britain.

I have had a look around this great forum and expect to enjoy taking a look at it every day.

David.

Welcome David1943. Perhaps you could tell us what winter is like at the moment in Oz. (Like:- a steady 75 degrees, with an occasional cloud :p )

I was only a young boy when we moved to Oz, my Dad was on the reserve list after WWII and with the trouble in the Middle East brewing he decided to leave England, for my Dad 7 years in the Royal Signals was more than enough.

The year was 1957. even after being here for 51 years my heart is still in the UK, I wish we had have stayed.

David.
