The East Somerset Railway will be reopening on Wednesday 14th April. Their Spring Steam Gala is scheduled for 24th/25th April - no details yet of any visiting locomotives, but I'm sure resident Ivatt 2MT No.46447 & 45XX No.4555 will be in action, plus Barclay 0-4-0ST No.1719 'Lady Nan' is also available for service. I think another GWR 'Small Prairie' might still be at Cranmore as well - No.5542 - which was hired in last year to cover for No.4555 when this loco was withdrawn and sent to Tyseley for firebox repairs. No.5542 was still at the ESR in December, taking it's turn operating their Santa Trains.*
