major TLC

they look like the worst thing on earth

According to a young lady in my office the worst thing on earth is Gibraltar - what a dump! Something like an old railway town in the 60's that lost all its jobs and no one can afford any paint or be bothered to clean up (actually Basildon comes to mind!).
Best place for tatty tube trains is down a big hole where you can only see them at the stations.

.

Having had a day trip to Gibraltar last time I had a Spanish holiday I can't agree with your young lady.

Absolutely no comparison with Basildon ! (I used to live very near there ;))

Not so cool when they "rob" you and run away !

One lady had her bag "pinched" and a few brave blokes (me included) tried to retrieve it. We failed !!

But it was a good day out.

It rained the whole time she was there - hence the comparison. Another lady then remarked that it was more like Canvey Island, but that was a bit harsh dont you think?

Very harsh !

When you travel to Gibraltar from Spain there are no road signs. You have to head for La Linea, which is the nearest Spanish
town to Gibraltar.

Never seen a BIG rock in Basildon, or on Canvey island.:D

Would anywhere like to be compared with Canvey Island? mind you Buster Bloodvessel supports the footie team which is cool

There's some pretty ugly buildings in Basildon which have filthy windows so look like rocks, but the only big rocks on Canvey are the 8ft. Concrete wall which surronuds it. Gives me the creeps thinking about living inside something like that, especially when the high tidies come in!!
