Yes mate fond memories back around 1967 68 69 and 70 on my way up to Fort William for the New Year parties with some scots friends who lived there. I would travel from Peterborough on the evening train and meet with a mate from Lincoln who would join at Grantham. Then off we would go to Edinboro and on to Glasgow. Get on the rear carrages and on to Fort William arriving early morning. Those were the days!!

I'd like to take a trip back to watch the Blue Pullman running over the Monsal viaduct, and earlier than that watch the Fell locomotive traverse the same location.

Now that WOULD be good Monsal Viaduct from the Hotel last train I remember was a Black 5 heard it before we saw it made my parents stop until it had gone into the tunnel
