Thanks farren, I'm working around 1950 to 1960

ok the 45621 with stanier riveted tender is in lms black then in br green only 2 photos found no new dates outher the 1952 as allreedy said, 45595 southern rohdesia seen with 4000 gallon riveted tender 1955 seen at dutton then by spt 1961 has a flush stanier tender. and 45571 14 apirl 1955 with folwer tender at accington shed stanier flush tender by 1960's no date. can not help on the fire box variant but they were like the black five's and swopt them around a lot at works. from the photo 45621 and 45595 may be short but not 100% sure hope this helps

Although boilers were swopped between locos at overhaul, as I understand it, the two types were not interchangeble. The sloping throatplate ones wouldn't fit in the frames of vertical throatplate locos. 45595 and 45571 were vertical, not sure about 45621. The Jubilees also had two different bogies. 6' 3" as used on the Patriots and the standard 6' 6" Stanier. 45595 and 45571 were Stanier but again I'm not sure about 45621

i never new that wel ive larnt some thing new today thank you KEN. SO which one dose bachmann make?also would one of the too said bogie types only go with one type of thoatplate?

Since my last post I've found out that the shorter 6' 3" bogies were on locos 5552 - 5556 and 5607 - 5654. so obviously 45621 would be one of these. The bogie types were not interchangeable. I'm not sure if any of the 6' 3" locos came with sloping throatplate. A bit more reading might be needed!

Thank you Resolution. A very useful site as I have now found a photo of Nyasaland and Swaziland as well. I did not know that there were locos named after those countries as well.

DSY011, As you can tell from my chosen Forum name, I'm a great fan of the class. The proportions and tapered boiler design owe a great deal to it's Ex GWR designer of course, of which I'm also a fan.

All Jubilees eventually got BR green, although it took a few years after BR was formed in 1948. The RCTS book on the class has livery change dates if you need such info.
