Ah! yes the "evening star" thats a nice looking loco and no mistake. Dont tell anyone, but i actualy did the tapestry of it during a period of convalesence a few years ago. if anyone fancys trying it, use a lighter blue in the sky and make the signal gantry darker. it gives a kind of 3d effect to the scene.
(and i8 wont tell anyone you are doing needlework...LOL)

British locos of eny type always seem to look sleeker then there foreign counterparts. take them huge American steamers, though they look impressive on the other hand they look bloody ugly as well, a British 8F or A4 "to name but a few" look impressive and beautiful, same goes for Diesels, GP40S and SD80s of America look ugly, while a 55 or a 47 look pretty.. :)

Look at the Southern USA Tanks compared to the LMS Jintys. They both have the same power classification (3F) but the Jinty seems to look tidier and everything sems to fit inside, without having to resort to sticking it on top of the boiler. Give me the British designs any day.
