Hasn't anyone realised that with current government thinking - soak the rail companies - no-one will want to bid for any future franchise. It will be renationalisation by the back door. During the current recession no company can hope to make a profit whilst paying the government over £1bn in the franchise life.

So why did he lose the Cross Country franchise then?
