Thank you very much for your kind comments about the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. I'm very pleased you enjoyed your visit and am only sorry I was not available to show you round. Glad you enjoyed the trip to Idridgehay.

On Monday I was on the Welsh Highland through the Aberglaslyn Pass.

It sounds as if your trip to Derbyshire was a success so perhaps you will return before tooo long.

No worries John, our visit to EVR was a pleasure. My wife liked the display of railway lamps in the guards van as she's bought a couple off ebay in the past and was able to identify them & see how they should be restored (they have missing lenses & need sanding back & painting). I think she may turn the kitchen into a railwayana museum, fine by me)

Hope you enjoyed Wales, I'm sure you did.
