I know your home area very well (well I did know it until 1965 or so). I remember your house being built!!! The land used to be a rough tip for Wheatsheaf Colliery which stood just across City Walk. I used to play on it!!!
If your house shakes with a 142 going through the tunnel, just imagine a couple of 0-8-0 coal engines on a heavy train going to Swinton!
