working on the route I can honestly say bank holiday weekends bring out more 2-cars on the north wales line than any other days:confused:

From my experience on the North Wales route it isn't that bad if you can get a 3 car over a 2 car. The last Cardiff-Holyhead I was on was really great and not that busy at all (well at lest in my coach).

Though my last encounter on the Manchester-Chester via Warrington route was just about full (no standing but full nonetheless), that was during August last year.
