Sadly, I had to cancel my trips to York through illness, so all being well, I will get to see this collection in 2014.

I have also missed The Great Gathering due to my wife being very ill. I very nearly lost her. As we will have our 41st anniversary on the 1st Jan 2014 she had to come before my hobby (or I would never see that anniversary).

Sorry to hear about your wife Syd, hope she feels better soon.

She is on the mend, but it will be 5 to 6 months before she is back to normal. The last time she was really ill was before we were engaged, over 43 years ago. This time she lost most of her Pancras so she will have to be very careful from now on. That means no more lemonade or even grapes.

So sorry to hear about your wife Syd. Hope she continues to make a steady recovery.

I did get to York at last on Friday. Fortunately it was not to busy. Might post a couple of photos if I have any which have not already been covered.

Hope to make Shildon in February and Barrow Hill.

Best wishes,

John H-T.

Well I was sorry to hear you not being well Bramleyman and you missed the occasion. Also so sorry to hear your wife has been ill too Syd. Really hope she will be ok.
Having been to York the first time round I can say how impressed I was to see six streaks together. Hope you guys get the chance too, but families must come first.
Wishing you all the best and speedy recoveries
Regards
Phil
