Just a footnote on derailmaent story the line is now back to normal, but it was reported in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle that a Passenger had to be arrested from a North bound train after he attacked the guard on the train because he was not sattisfied with the train delay.

Attacking someone is just not acceptable.
But no doubt it will be seen as "unreasonable" behaviour by the passenger, not unreasonable behaviour by the operating companies and Network Rail.

I think that's what the forum owners were hoping we would do when subjected to the barrage of posts from "RF News":D

To be fair Shecat, the passenger acted far more unreasonably than the TOCs. Inconvienence is no excuse for violence.

Yes, that is what I said:- attacking someone is just not acceptable.

The underlying point is that it's just my little hang-up over the Nanny State shutting a railway, a motorway or an airport for hours, or days. Then patronising us by telling us "It's for your own safety" ............and then sanctimoniously blaming us for the "problem".

Don't worry, I'll go and take some of my little green pills and maybe write a letter to The Times later:D
