Power car 51435 used to reside on the ELR but was scrapped in 2008, useable parts went to the NRM for use with their own 2 car set. Don't think there's an example of a 101 currently at Bury but they appear from time to time.

I remember as a toddler I used to love seeing them and the class 303 EMU's in Springburn station in Glasgow around 1964/5. I only remember them in blue and having the small yellow line on them before it covered the whole face of the cab. I have a slight memory of seeing them before the yellow stripe but none of ever seeing them in green. Thank you.

In "Scotland's Railways" by WJV Anderson is a full page picture of a Class 101 at Dairsie on a Dundee-Edinburgh service in green livery with thin yellow stripes along the top and bottom of the cars and below the front windows and swept up to below the window openings. The date given is Summer 1961.
