I love the dramatic music, almost Hitchcock in style.

Pure nostalgia. The 1960's when the slide rule was king and not a computer in sight ! You had to admire the engineers back then.

Yes, that's the Monsal viaduct we see, on the old Midland line through Matlock to Ambergate where it can then be seen on the old triangle joining the Derby line.
Sad thing is the Matlock to Manchester section was not part of the Beeching cuts which makes the footage very special.
This was the same stretch of line upon which the enigmatic Fell locomotive performed its daily duties.

Ah, my first 'proper' train set was the Hornby Blue Pullman set... Wish I still had it

I was watching an old railway film on i player (Great Western around the time diesels took over from steam) and I saw what looked like the blue pullman trains.

Did these pullman multiple units run on all regions ?

Here is a link to the film, I found it interesting.

As I recall there were only ever two Blue Pullmans. One ran on the Western Region and one on the London Midland Region.

There were 5 Blue Pullman sets. 2 x 6 sets for the London Midland which ran between St Pancras and Manchester Central, and 3 x 8 sets which operated on the GWR from Paddington to Birmingham and Bristol. If you Google "Blue Pullman" there is a fairly comprehensive entry on Wikipedia about them.
