Spitfire's Highland Railtour 2010

Hi, everone. Just interested to know if any one else enjoyed the company of the two DRS class 37's, 37608 & 37610 up in the highlands last weekend whilst on the Spitfire Highlander Railtour 2010. Me and my mate were planning a trip up there anyway but was not looking forward to hours of beautiful countryside while stuck in a DMU. Hey presto Spitfire are going our way with decent traction. (missed out on class 20 haulage though, shame). Did anyone else do any railrovers up there in their younger years, where was your favorite places to go.

yes did the old 7 day freedom of scotland tickets back in the early 1980s class 26 to thurso was always a favourite as was the 27s on the dundee from edinburgh and then bunking on the overnight train from inverness to edinburgh. if only those days could come back. also the old 5 50 from glasgow queen street to fort william hanging out the back window to hear that 37 pushing up the tunnel. happy days !!!!
