Class 25

Hi again,

I`ve searched the www and i`m not 100% sure
but were Class 25`s ever based at the Shirebrook diesel depot

I would say so.

"he was mechanical foreman at Shirebrook Diesel Depot (SB) which had recently opened. I can clearly remember accompanying him there one weekend surrounded by gleaming Green Brush 4s (47s), Sulzers (25s) and Claytons (17s)."

i suppose you could call it research.................. or reminising

i used to watch diesels at Shirebrook depot from the corner of the school field,before that when i was younger the steam locos used to trundle past the junior school

i`m off to one of the local heritage railways soon which one i haven`t decided yet, then its a trip to York, i went went i was at school before it was moved

OK If you are still at Shirebrook then you can do
Saturday
Ecclesbourne Valley R in the Morning and Peak Rail at Rowsley in the afternoon
Sunday
Barrow Hill in the morning and Midland Railway Centre at Swanwick Junction in the Afternoon

Then take a nice break in York for the NRM mid-week
