Can't be bad - 3 locos for the price of one! Looks like 45231 is a little poorly and the Class 47 is doing all the work. However, it's a good sound.

You were lucky to get that shot as 45231 came off at Hellifield and returned home to Carnforth. All we got on the fells were the diesels.
Thanks for letting us see 45231 in action.

Hi Dave. She didn'tsound well at all. The 47 behind the support coach was doing all the work and it was more like the wheels pushing the pistons, rather than the pistons pushing the wheels! Still it was good to see another Black 5 - my Ian Allan ABC Combine is filling up nicely. :-)
So far this year we've seen 44932, 45305, 45407 and 45231 at Clitheroe, but, in my opinion, 45305 seems to be the best of the lot. There's been some great unassisted runs by the Hull lads.

Looked in trouble for sure. Wonder what failed? Anyway David I too like 45305 (Alderman Draper), followed her progress at the GCR.
