Major England-Scotland route delays after derailed train

A derailed train which blocked lines on a major route between England and Scotland has been put back on the rails, National Rail has said.
The engineering train came off the track near Carnforth, Lancashire, and has affected services by Northern Rail, TransPennine Express and Virgin Trains.

It was a derailed tamper that was causing the problem today just South of Oxenholme Lake District Station.
