I was wondering what had happened to the Torbay Express this year, it has usually started by now.

Hi Sawicki20,
Paignton station is better for photos of the Torbay Express, it stops for several minutes on both journeys. The view from the platform of it coming across the level crossing on Torbay Road is worth the effort, the train is usually travelling at about 10mph ready for the stop. On the return journey you get a spirited start from the platform because of the bank up to Hollicombe. Seaway Road bridge in Preston is a good spot for the outbound train, halfway up the bank and a clear view of the train on the embankment.
Regards, Tony.
