Steam on the Bedford / Bletchley line

Hi everyone - this is my first post - found the site via this month's Steam Railway magazine.

Did anybody brave the early hour and heavy drizzle to see the passing of 'Oliver Cromwell' on the Bedford / Bletchley line yesterday. More people than I expected at Millbrook station. I was hoping for the perfect video shot but as I am still getting the hang of the camera and the train was travelling much faster than I expected. The result being that I didn't focus quickly enough and the moment was gone. Still, it was a great moment and well worth the visit.

Never mind, i did read a comment by a keen photogher that he no longer takes the camera as you take a picture rather than savour the moment.

Yes I was out there in the rain, actually I was by the bridge that goes over the main A5 in Milton Keynes, I thought it would be an ideal place to see the train, which when it was actually on the bridge it was, BUT since I was last at that location the vegetation has got overgrown so much all I had was the actual bridge. The train came from behind the trees and bushes and in no time at all was gone again behind trees and bushes on the other side. But I have just posted a new thread about this in "DERAILED".
