99 608

Hello,
my name is Moritz, I am fifteen years old, from Germany and I am here because I was on an exhibition in Germany and there were some model train enthusiasts from Britain, who didn't speak German. So I tried to talk with them in English but I had to notice, that the vocabulary I learnt at school doesn't help me for talking with other people, who had the same hobby. That's why I am here - to learn something about the British railways and the language.

Maybe you would like to know something about my name "99 608".

The locomotive 99 608 is one of 96 locomotives of the saxon locomotive type IV K (4k).
99 608 is a narrow gauge locomotive (750mm).

If you like I can show you some pictures of saxon narrow gauge railways and my model railway layout.

I am glad to be here.

Gruß aus Deutschland
MORITZ

Hi Moritz, welcome to the forum.
My office is in Baden Baden and I'm a fairly regular DB user when I visit.
Keep us posted on any special rail activity in Germany.
Hope you learn about our railways during your forum visits.

Hi Moritz

Germany is one of those places that is greyed out on my travel map -I have not been there - yet

But as for modelling railways that's one of my big things as I am wheelchair restricted so can not get out as much as I would like
Modelling railways makes us all equal - - so yes post your layout pictures in the gallery so we can admire yours

Hi Moritz, thanks for posting the photos of your layout. It looks very detailed with a lot going on. I still have a way to go with my layout as I had not been able to do much on it at all over the last 18 months as I had a very sick wife to look after when she was not in hospital, Glad to say she is now well again and I can start to spend some time on it again. Will post some photos soon.
