kyle line observation car
does anyone know the number and scrap date for the observation car ex met cam dmu used in the 1980s on the kyle line ? and who scrapped it.

Was this the one that was painted into a green/off white colour to match the set of named Mark 2's?
If so it certainly lasted into the mid 90s and I have a feeling it was scrapped at MC Metals of Springburn. |

kyle line observation car
yes thats the one first started out in about 1987 i think in rail blue then green, but dont what became of it later after withdrawel any body know? also does anybody know which depot it was based at before it was used as an observation car ?

Looking at a few records from the early 90s I believe it was renumbered to 6300 when operating as the observation car on the Inverness - Kyle Hebridean Heritage service.
I think it used to be originally 54356 (presumably 56356 before that). Derek |
