Regentalbahn AG (Bayern, Germany)

Have seen a report from railway Gazette international that the Bayern Land Authority (Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft) have awarded Arriva trains through Regentalbahn the rights to run 160km/h inter-urban trains from Munich to Furth im Wald and Hof (and possibly into Czech republic at a later date).

The contract begins in December 2007 and runs for 10 years.

Arriva have acquired coaching stock and are loooking to lease locomotives, both diesel and electrics to operate the service.
