Pensioner hit by train and survives – video

The shocking moment a 77-year-old was hit by a passing train after walking across a closed level crossing has been captured on CCTV

http://home.bt.com/news/oddnews/pens...11363895301309

In this CCTV clip released by Czech Police, the 77-year-old ignores a flashing red light and walks around the edge of the closed level crossing barrier in the town of Rajec-Jesterebi.

I don't think he will try that again.

It was shameful that the silver car waiting (and saw it happen) did not stop to assist the old guy.

At least the moped rider stopped to help.

Very stupid. The car driver should have stopped, but some just don't want to get involved.

What a twit, doesn't he know at his age that the boom gates down means that a train is coming? And how about the apathy of the people who failed to render assistance? I've never seen anything like it

I reckon he couldn't see anything with that big black blob over his head! There is some doubt whether or not he actually got hit by the train or had an extremely near miss. Seriously though, you can't account for the stupidity of some people. Hope he'll learn from that near death experience.

Sorry, but if he can't be bothered to stop, then why should the motorists?

I'm glad he lived to tell the tale, but at that age he ought to know better ...

And all to get home 10 seconds sooner.... Madness.
