Late introduction

My introduction is late, but here we go.

Hello guys. I am the newest member: Zaphod Scotsman. And I get my username from two different things:

Zaphod, a meerkat, who was featured on meerkat manor,
http://www.kalahari-meerkats.com/ind...fCA8L2E%2BIjt9

and the world's most famous steam locomotive, Flying Scotsman.

Of course, I'm not really that big of a train fan, though I used to be, I'm more into prehistoric life (mostly dinosaurs) and living animals nowadays. However, I still have some love for them.

Since I am new, I would like to be treated with kindness until I know the forums better.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. By the way, is there an area for fan-fictions?

Thanks. By the way, I hate to sound demanding, but can you please answer my question?

Sorry Zaphod Scotsman, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'By the way, is there an area for fan-fictions?' Do you write fiction story's?

The way I understand it, Fan Fiction is written be the fans of a writer, say Orson Welles, about one of his characters or settings, rather than written by the original author. It seems to be mired in legal issues as well with disclaimers having to be advised.
I can't really see the point of it.

It's something that can actually be done just for fun, though it can also be done to continue a long-gone legacy that is believed to deserve another chance.
