Chicoutimi Pulp 5
Hello all,
I've just registred on this forum because I'm looking for very specific informations and had no luck finding them so far. What I'm looking for is blueprints (mainly) or pictures (of every angles possible) of the Chicoutimi Pulp 5 a localy build steeplecab electric. It was made of a wood cabin on a B-B configuration and powered by four Westinghouse Type 56, 50 h.p. railway electric motors. I doubt that such blueprints even exist but info on similar engines might be useful. Thanks for your help, cheers!  Cal

Yep, that's the one. These are the only two pictures that I've find so far and I'm still looking for more info. The idea behind that is to build a full scale (non-working) replica for a local museum... or at least that's the plan

Welcome to the Forum Calimero. I don't know where North American drawings would have ended up if they escaped being trashed. We have several places in the UK who store and catalogue drawings: The National Railway Museum, The Historical Model Railway Society and Glasgow University to name the main ones. I have no idea if a similar situation exists in North America, perhaps some of our members on your side of the pond might know!

At a pinch, any info on similar steeple cab would be nice. I've try contacting (some) of the local/nationnal museums but so far none of them had the informations I'm was looking for. As I said in my first post, I doubt there's even blueprints existing somewhere.

There were two locos built for the North Eastern Railway in 1905. Central Cab and sloping
bonnets: The Class ES1. They ran on 600v DC overhead and had 4 British Thomson Housten Traction Motors. One has survived into preservation, having been withdrawn in 1964. It is currently at the National Railway Museum at Shildon. It is only vaguely similar but may be of interest.
