Good news from Amerton.

We had a press day at at Amerton today to celebrate the fact that we have now completed the purchase of the land on which the railway runs.
Last Sept. we learned that the owner of the land was selling, PANIC, the person who was interested in purchasing the field was not sympathetic to railways as ---- "we make too much noise"
To cut short a very long drawn out story the members decided on a plan to buy the land, this was a difficult time for everyone as we had to raise a fair amount of money with only 60 members ------- but we made it, well done everyone!
