Hello from Beverley

Hi there,

Paul here from Beverley.
At age 33 I'm just beginning to rekindle a childhood love of trains and train travel. Last week my girlfriend and I took a ride on the Wensleydale railway - it really took me back to ride on their class 101 DMU. I know they ran until a few years back but they where the train of my childhood that my mum would take me on from Beverley to Hull in the early 80s with the nice spongy seats. I took same great pics and have a video that I will try and share at one point. I was able to get access to the cab which was a thrill. Anyway, I don't know where this hobby will take me but I look forward to finding our more and reading this board.

Cheers

Paul

Best wishes

Hi Paul

Welcome to the forum.

I am a member of the Minsters Rail campaign which is trying to re-open the railway line from York to Beverley. Membership is £5 per year if you are interested.

Enjoy your newly rekindled enthusiasm.
