Back in the early 80's, my mum nearly did get arrested for photographing Soviet trains!

Anyway, welcome to the forum Jonny.

Thanks so much everyone for such a warm welcome and I will do my best to take some good photos while I'm here as I should be back in the UK by next summer. I'm actually working right opposite one of their main terminus Paveletskaya so I have no excuse really.

Ochen = Very
Harasho = Good

I'm still only learning and it's a very difficult language. How come you know some Russian if you don't mind me asking?

err well it started a long time age when i was at school. There was a south african kid who could speak russian and i asked him to teach me, and he showed me a few words. Then we parted company, i left school(25 years ago!!) did the usual blah blah stuff and forgot most of it but was always curious about it, and then later when i got online i met a few russians on ICQ who also taught me a few words- theres also a guy I know in Siberia who used to be a DJ there and he would help me,through msn messenger, and in return I helped him translate some lyrics into english(he was in a band and put a CD together. If it ever got released my words are on it as well as my photo for the cover!)
