Lucky nobody was hurt. What a shame.

That would be 1 1/2 cents in South Africa. 100 cents to the Rand and as of today R17.65 to the £1. You are right Tony, that is a cheap sling. :-)

Slightly off topic but when I was a kid, our money was equal to the pound. R1 = £1. Now look at it I will not go into the politics however.

Class 70 at Newport Docks in South Wales a couple of years ago now I think.

My question on this sort of incident is, Who is responsible for the lifting tackle if using the Ship's own lifting equipment?
Where is the tackle registered?

I understand that the responsibility on the day is Ship until the load is landed.
