whilst I agree with those sentiments in principle, he is an old ill man and some consideration has to be given to that. Let the Authorities who have all the info and experiance decide.

At last a reference to Jack Mills,
He never enjoyed much in the way of life after the robbery unlike others and I am not convinced his early death was not connected with the beating they gave him so as far as I am concerned let Biggs rot in jail as he has no sympathy from me.
End of rant.

Angry

ive got to disagree,
free the poor man,the worst he could do is excrement he self in public, and if the youth of today done what he done all they would do is let them out on bail and give them a second chance, aslong as the loco wasnt hurt i could not care at all and i couldnt care what anyone else thinks

The great train robbery was in 1963 that was 46 years ago(nearly half a century)
The long sentences were handed down because it was a Royal Mail train.
While the crime was bad the attack on the train driver was an assault.
Far worse crimes have been committed since with lesser sentences handed down by the courts.
Are some of the anti Briggs sentiments due to the fact that the man assaulted was a train driver?
The man has done a fair portion of his sentence & is very ill why not release into a bail hostel?

no matter who done it. if you cant do the time dont do the crime
if you rob a train or take part in beating up someone it is still breaking the law
so long may he be behind bars I REST MY CASE
