Smile Hello

Hi everyone,
Just joined, looks like a great site, when I have got more time I'll have a good browse. I'm actually looking for info for a paticular person namely William Hartwell who was a driver based at Woodford Halse in the 50's and 60's (hows that for a shot in the dark?).
I've always been interested in railways, model and real, not only my granddad (above) but also my father (pemanent way, Woodford Halse) and uncle (driver, Tysley) were employed by the railway.
I'll write again soon when I have more time.
Clive

sorry...the first Dr Who was William Hartnell (i think) ..and Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's alter ego are Derek and CLive....I must be in a paralell universe again....

I bought a book recently on the Great Central...I'll dig it out and see if it mantions any staff by name...a chapter on Woodford Halse...
