Question New member

Good day folks, I have just joined this forum. I used to be a train spotter when young and have always had a passing interest in railways ever since. I wonder if any member can help me though. I am looking for a book that I saw in Waterstones in Oldham which I unfortunately failed to take a note of. It was a hardback reference book of all the train operating companies in Britain, including freight franchises. It was up to date to 2016 or 17. Anyone any ideas what it is called or who published it? Many thanks to all.

Hi Pulsar & welcome to the forum.

I think this is what you are thinking of: Rail Guide 2017 (or other years) by Colin J Marsden.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rail-Guide-...lin+J.+Marsden

I've had a look through these before and they detail all the TOCS, including details of locomotives & rolling stock owned/operated by them, routes covered etc.

Hope this is useful.

Tony
