Bombay Railway BBC 4(TV)
Did anybody see the programme on TV last night (Sunday 29/07/07) ?
The facts given were mind blowing, 6 million passengers carried Daily. On a train designed to carry 1200 they are now carrying up to 5000 Interviewing one Driver " Have you ever knocked anybody down with your train?" reply "I have been a driver for 30 years, it must be 60/70 passengers I have hit" On hitting a passenger the Driver and Guard must make sure the victim is not on the track, and then report the accident at the next station.
